FALL is HERE!!! Any FUN Getaways???

A new season has arrived and along came cooler weather which most people embrace after a steamy summer. With that being said, what are some fun activities you do with your friends and/or family during this season? I'm excited about trying new things so decided to recruit your help via ideas and suggestions.

Here in North Carolina, we are blessed with several mountain communities so seeing the leaves change is a huge conversation piece and a favorable mini vacation retreat; I will do my best to witness this natural process this year, finally. A lot of people tend to go camping as well or take advantage of the cooler weather, smaller crowds and cheaper hotel cost associated with beach vacations during this season. Others hike mountains to see the breathtaking waterfalls and elevated scenic views; while many more have a kick out of hitting the greenways with friends to enjoy streams and beautiful homes alike. Naturally, many women look forward to all the summer clothes that were just marked down; amongst other things, the mothers' buy “guestimate” sizes of clothes they hope will fit their kids next summer and have a kick out of doing so with their girl friends. Obviously, those without kids get a kick out of finding super deals too and blasting their great savings on our social networks to spread the word. These are just a few fall traditions that popped in my head but I'm certain there are hundreds of fall fun events waiting to be shared.

So, when it comes to the fall season, what do you enjoy doing? Are you planning anything new and/or exciting? Is there anything you want to try but haven't done so yet?

  1. Hi EV! One of my staples is hiking. I do that every year though and would like to add something new and fun. I'll be checking back for ideas.

  2. Ms. S-
An impromptu four day vacation from Charlotte to Jacksonville, FL was wonderful with the fall like temperatures and the beautiful trees that lined the highways. If time permits, consider getting in one before the leaves are all gone:).

  3. Glad you had a good time. I will certainly try to squeeze some kind of fall excursion in. But vacation days are tight since I've been on multiple vacations already for the year. Might have to keep it limited to a weekend.
